Hill County 4-H Chuckwagon Committee
The Hill County 4-H Program has managed the Chuckwagon facility on the Hill County Fairgrounds for the past several decades. A new Chuckwagon building has been erected and is in the final stages of completion. This new building has a commercial kitchen, an occupancy of 229, and meets all building codes required by the city, county and state.
The purpose of the Chuckwagon is to provide 4-H with a building that can be used year round for 4-H programming and events, as well as a building that can be used by members in the community when appropriate. The building would be used during the Great Northern Fair as a concession stand and exhibit display area.
Hill County 4-H has priority use of the Chuckwagon building, but the building is available to other organizations and citizens in the community for use.
The Chuckwagon Committee fundraising continues with the purchase of a Legacy Wall Tile for $1000. For more information contact any of the Chuckwagon Committee members or the Extension office.
